The DigiPort Logistics Hackathon 2025 marked a significant milestone in Vietnam’s logistics and supply chain innovation ecosystem, bringing together university students, academic leaders, and industry experts to explore digital transformation and smart logistics solutions.

The hackathon officially kicked off with an opening workshop that attracted more than 80 students from various universities, introducing participants to the DigiPort concept and emerging trends in logistics digitalization. Following this initial phase, 20 outstanding teams were selected to advance to the Semifinal Round, hosted at the University of Management and Technology (UMT).

The Semifinal, held on November 8, 2025, was characterized by a dynamic and highly collaborative atmosphere. Student teams presented innovative ideas addressing real-world logistics challenges, supported by continuous mentoring and professional feedback. The event benefited from strong engagement from both international and local experts, creating an inspiring environment for young logistics talents.

A central academic and professional contribution throughout the competition came from Dr. Thai Binh Tran, who served as both a mentor and a judge across multiple rounds of the hackathon, from early-stage mentoring to semifinal and final evaluations.

In her dual role, Dr. Thai Binh Tran not only assessed the innovation, feasibility, and applicability of student projects, but also accompanied teams as a mentor, guiding them to refine problem definitions, strengthen the link between technology and logistics operations, and enhance the practical relevance of their solutions. Her mentoring approach emphasized alignment with industry needs, digital readiness, and long-term implementation potential.

With extensive experience in logistics, supply chain management, technology integration, and human capital development, Dr. Thai Binh Tran played an important role in helping students transform creative ideas into realistic, technology-driven logistics solutions tailored to the Vietnamese context.

The hackathon journey culminated in the Grand Final on November 11, 2025, where the top five teams presented breakthrough projects with strong application potential. These final solutions reflected not only technical creativity, but also the impact of sustained mentoring and professional evaluation throughout the competition.

The DigiPort Logistics Hackathon 2025 reaffirmed a shared commitment among universities, industry partners, and academic leaders to nurture future-ready logistics talent, promote applied innovation, and accelerate digital transformation within Vietnam’s logistics and supply chain sector.
