Great Peace International is pleased to announce that Dr. Thai Binh Tran officially joined Phenikaa University on 20 May 2026 as Aviation Economics Program Director under the Phenikaa School of Economics and Business (PSEB).
This appointment marks an important milestone in Dr. Tran’s academic and professional journey, reflecting her continued commitment to advancing aviation education, research, and international collaboration in Vietnam and the ASEAN region.
With extensive experience spanning academia, aviation industry practice, consulting, and international research, Dr. Tran brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to the development of aviation economics and management education. Her expertise covers airline strategy, aviation economics, airport and airline management, aviation policy, logistics, and supply chain management.
Alongside her role at Phenikaa University, Dr. Tran continues to serve as Founder and CEO of Great Peace International (GPI), where she leads international research projects, academic publishing initiatives, executive education programs, and strategic collaborations with universities, scholars, and industry partners worldwide.
Dr. Tran also maintains her engagement with higher education through teaching and academic activities with leading institutions, including RMIT University Vietnam and the Vietnam–France University (USTH). These experiences contribute to strengthening the integration of international perspectives into aviation education and research.
At Phenikaa University, Dr. Tran is expected to play a key role in the development of aviation-related programs, industry engagement activities, research initiatives, and international partnerships. Her appointment supports the university’s vision of becoming a leading institution in innovation, applied research, and global academic collaboration.
Reflecting on this new chapter, Dr. Tran emphasized her aspiration to contribute to the development of future aviation professionals, strengthen links between academia and industry, and support Vietnam’s growing role within the regional and global aviation ecosystem.
As Vietnam’s aviation sector continues to expand and transform, the cultivation of high-quality human capital, research capability, and international connectivity will remain critical priorities. Through her work at Phenikaa University, Dr. Tran aims to contribute meaningfully to these objectives while supporting the long-term development of aviation education in Vietnam.
